About this app

Reddit is the social media app where real people talk, ask questions and get real answers.

Explore 100,000+ communities, from local news and sports opinion to gaming, finance and memes. Unlike other social media, Reddit is built around what you care about, not who you follow. Ask questions, get answers, catch breaking news, share tips and chat anonymously, all in one social app.

Why Reddit?

■ Ask questions and get real answers
Reddit is real talk with real people. Ask a question about relationships, careers, money or fitness and get answers from people with real experience. Share your own advice and answer questions for someone else.

■ Follow breaking news and social media trends
Breaking news, local news, daily news and social media trends land here first. Read real news, then dive into the threads where people work out what it means. It's an easy way to stay informed.

■ Sports opinions for every code
AFL, NRL, cricket, rugby and more. Share opinions in match threads, debate the big calls and celebrate with fans who care as much as you do.

■ Anonymous chat, memes and gossip
Chat anonymously, trade memes, swap gossip and explore funny videos. Your feed is built from the communities you join, so unlike most social media, it stays yours.

Popular communities in Australia:

■ r/AskAnAustralian and r/AskReddit - Ask questions and get answers from real people who have been there.
■ r/australia - Local news, culture and everyday Aussie life.
■ r/AusFinance - Tips and advice on super, property, budgeting and saving.
■ r/afl - Match threads, trade talk and weekly footy debates.
■ r/AustralianPolitics - Debates and information on Aussie politics.
■ r/funny and r/worldnews - Daily laughs and world news discussion.

On Reddit you will find:

■ Thousands of community groups and real people sharing original content, including breaking news, social media trends, sports highlights, TV fan theories, tech forums and pop culture debates.
■ AMAs, or Ask Me Anything, where celebrities, athletes and experts answer real questions from real people.
■ Real discussions on any topic. Comment threads are where the conversation comes to life, covering entertainment, sports, social media gossip and financial advice.
■ Anonymous profiles that let you control how you show up. Post anonymously and join anonymous chat. Social media without the performance.
■ A discussion app for every interest, where you can explore information, share ideas and keep up with the social media conversations that matter to you.

Voting and Karma:
Instead of likes and hearts, Reddit's social network runs on upvotes or downvotes. Voting on posts and comments increases or decreases the creator's karma, helping popular and relevant posts rise to the top, while filtering out low-quality or irrelevant posts.

While karma doesn't directly impact your ability to use Reddit, more karma can increase the visibility of posts and help you get noticed. Some communities require karma to post or comment, which helps maintain content quality and community standards.

Reddit Premium:
Purchase Reddit Premium to enjoy an ads-free experience and access to premium avatar gear, r/lounge, custom app icons, and more.

Payment will be charged on a recurring monthly or annual basis to your Google Play account. Your monthly or annual Premium subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before your subscription ends. Cancel anytime in your device's Account Settings. No partial refunds.

Honestly, only here to leave a review cause I couldn't figure it out on the website. Used to, I could search reddit through browser and it show without any issues. but the past day or so, everytime I search I can only see one or two comments/posts before the site tries to force me to get the app. I don't have the app on my phone due to other apps consuming the storage. Reddit has been a good source for me to connect with my communities and keep up with Fandoms.

App is awful, comments get cropped at the bottom of the screen so there's no way to read them. App is very buggy and full of ads, like every other post is an ad now. This app is barely functional and it seems like every update fixes one thing but breaks 10 others. Reddit has been going downhill since they went public last year, quality and functionality have taken a serious hit while the number of ads has tripled. Another company ruined by greedy shareholders.

Really glitchy. I am on Android on a really good phone, updated, Reddit is updated, all that good stuff. But I frequently can not make posts with pictures, share posts with pictures, make posts with multiple pictures, or comment on people's posts with pictures. It's hit and miss. Sometimes it works, mostly it doesn't. I've reported it with no response or help. Would be great otherwise.
