This game is heavily pay-to-win. If you don't spend money, it's very difficult to stay competitive, especially at higher castle levels. Progress depends more on buying heroes and resources than on skill or strategy. The free rewards are minimal and don't provide enough value to keep up with paying players. The developers claim the game is balanced, but the reality is quite different. I wouldn't recommend this game unless you're willing to spend money regularly.

Super involved and complicated. Fun. Be prepared to spend. Edited: played this for 5 years now. Don't! Yes, it's probably the very best game "like this" (there are so so many). Unfortunately though, they've allowed it to be completely destroyed by pay to win. I've spent 5 figures and I'm still completely irrelevant. There are players in this game that spend 100K daily. If that doesn't deter you, then you'll have fun.

Microtransactions, a lot of them. This is a fun game and it could be great. Built around building Alliances and teamwork so you make friends from around the world. If you want to compete with the best though- prepare to spend hundreds of thousands. * Not even joking.
