Great for finding and using pre-made programs, has a good database of exercises already built into the app. Some basic functions like substituting an exercise are locked behind a subscription though, and to an extent that I think is ridiculous. Otherwise a good app, but there are other apps that do more for free imho.

Originally I gave this a 2 star, but after messing around in my phones settings (not an app feature) I was able to put the background to sleep resolving the battery drain. Workouts are fun and engaging. I'm trying exercises I've never done or heard of. And I appreciate that the app has recommended alternatives to specific exercises. (this may be specific to routines) The program i am on is 12 weeks, I'll give a final review then (note this is with premium but on a free routine)

even though im making use of my own training program to start i find that incorporating Boostcamp app assist me in pushing myself to the next level. I had another app I was making use of but it did not record my progress as good as Bootscamp does. 5 days a week for a 8 week training program. at 64 I don't have time to waste on making use of tools that dont work for me. I cannot wait to try some of the workouts listed on the Boost camp next. Great app, 👍

Thanks for the 5-star review! Really glad the progress tracking is working better than your last app. Hope the Boostcamp workouts you try next hold up just as well. Enjoy the 8 weeks. – Michael, co-founder

What’s new

In this version, we're introducing some new features:
- Improvements across the app: on the workout page, your current set stays highlighted, finished exercises collapse as you go, and the rest timer is rebuilt. In History, view your training by month. And smaller fixes throughout.
- Photos in Community: add a photo and caption to your workout posts, and share more than just the numbers.
Plus bug fixes and general improvements to the app for better user experience.
