Most spider watch faces are a picture of a web. On this one, the spider does the weaving.
A black widow walks the outer thread of her web once a minute. Behind her, the thread is laid down strand by strand from twelve o'clock, so the web is always exactly as complete as the minute is old. At the top of the minute the outer ring clears and she starts again. It is your second hand, and it is alive.
WHAT YOU GET
• An animated black widow, with a glossy black body, a red hourglass and eight jointed legs that step in a proper alternating gait as she walks
• A spider web of sixteen radial threads and eight sagging silk rings, drawn the way a real orb web hangs
• Dew specks on the silk that catch the light and twinkle
• Twelve glass dew drops as hour markers
• A silk-wrapped cocoon on the hour hand and a dew-drop tip on the minute hand
• Two complication dials at 9 and 3 o'clock, set to steps and battery out of the box. Swap in anything your watch offers: weather, heart rate, next event, timers and more. Clear them and the web is left bare
• An always-on mode that keeps the web and hands in dim grey on black, with no animation, to save battery
• Built with Google's Watch Face Format, so it runs efficiently on the watch with no companion app, no permissions and no data collected
A gothic, creepy-but-elegant face for Halloween and for anyone who likes their spiders all year round.
