_______

blockit completely blocks your phone for the time you choose. No shortcuts, no "just five minutes": once the session starts, your phone stays locked until the time is up.

STUDY, WORK, SLEEP
Pick the duration with the wheel, start the session, and your phone steps aside. If you try to open an app during a block, blockit brings you right back to the session screen.

THE SUITCASE
Before you start, pack the apps you truly need (maps, music, emergency messages): only those stay usable during the block.

THE PARACHUTE
The only way out before the end is to use a parachute. You get one to start with: spend it wisely, or get more from the app.

THE TOWER
Every day of focus builds a floor of your tower. Stay consistent and watch it grow, week after week.

AUTOMATIC ROUTINES
Schedule recurring sessions (for example every evening to sleep better): they start on their own, at the time you choose.

AND MORE
• Statistics of your focus time
• Home screen widget to start a session instantly
• Nothing Phone Glyph integration
• Cloud backup of your sessions with your Google account

USE OF THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE (AccessibilityService API)

blockit uses Android's AccessibilityService API for one single purpose, the core of the app: keeping the block in place during a session. The "blockit · Session block" service detects which app is brought to the foreground while a session is active and, if it isn't one of the apps you packed in your suitcase, it brings you back to the block screen.

The service does NOT read your screen content and does NOT collect, store, or share any personal or sensitive data. The only information used is the package name of the foreground app, processed on-device only and only while a session is active. The service does nothing when no session is running.

Enabling it is optional and requires your explicit consent in the system settings, but without it blockit cannot prevent the use of other apps during a block.

Love the app overall, but a few issues: 1) Accidentally opening a pop-up from a notification causes it to keep locking my phone, the only fix is closing the pop-up within a 1-second window. 2) The paid parachute can be obtained free by uninstalling and reinstalling the app (even on the same account), defeating the whole purpose of discouraging spending on phone usage. 3) The glyph timer keeps switching between the top-right and bottom-right bar (3a)

Send an email with the video. Also, I should have fixed the problem with the free parachute

it is a good app but I would have given it a 5 star if we had options to select more than 6 apps at one for the exception list. there are a lot of important apps I want accessible while working or studying. we get three bags but we cannot use all of them at once, which is. a big downside. also we should also get an option to block only specific apps.

Technically, it's a great blocker that's actually difficult to circumvent. Yet, the idea of selling immediate unblocks ('parachutes') defeats the app's purpose. Neither do I want an unblock option - but I'm forced to have them to schedule automatic blocks - nor does the price tag work as deterrence, as I can always get a free parachute simply by resetting the app. Dear Francesco, if you'd allow (premium) users to disable the parachute function altogether, I'd be happy to give your app 5 stars!

The free parachute by restarting the app will be removed in the near future (that was one of my mistake). You will only receive one for free the very first time you login. Also, I'll keep the parachutes since they are the only way to exit locking sessions or to start more dangerous ones (more than 3 hours, or auto starting routines)

What’s new

What's new in blockit 2.2.3:

• Sessions hold stronger than ever: fewer ways around the block
• Fingerprint and face unlock work for the apps in your bag on more phones, including vivo and iQOO
• Restoring purchases updates your add-ons on screen right away
• Better battery setup on phones that hide the usual option
• Your bag opens and closes more smoothly, and the back gesture closes it following your finger
• Session timer digits always fit perfectly
