This is a great roguelite platform shooter. Everything about this game is high quality. The art, the characters, the music, the story, the world design, etc. Unlike games such as Dead Cells, there are a plethora of unlockables that have a direct impact on gameplay immediately. This is both a blessing and a curse because this also made the game trivial to beat after I had gotten really powered up. One power up shoots out energy when you get hit, which killed the third and forth boss too easily.

I like it a lot! I wish I could customize the control layout, because when I'm really getting into it, I keep missing the buttons. EDIT: I FOUND IT I love the upgrades, especially more mid-air jumps! those paired with dashes let me fight without touching the ground! I also wish there was a way to start in the second world. at this point, the first world is too easy and I fly through it quickly.

Was a really fun game! Great gameplay loop, cute artstyle and nicely written. Plenty of ways to diversify playstyles through the mix of different weapon types, perma upgrades from levels, synergies, and boosts that only last the run. The only thing I'm missing is an incentive to use the weapon stations in the game. Since the weapons you can choose don't get higher base stats in later levels than their counterparts early on, there really isn't any reason to change your weapons throughout a run.
