About this app

Family is a dual time zone watch face for Wear OS, built for the Samsung Galaxy Watch, that shows people rather than abbreviations. Two people, each with a name you pick (Mom, Dad, Sis, Love, HQ) in a colour you pick, their time in full, the weekday where they are and how far ahead or behind you they sit, like Fri · EDT · -3 h. Under each person, a button that calls them.

The two buttons are complication slots. Put a contact on one and the watch rings them; put WhatsApp or Messages on the other. Call one, message the other. Buying it for a parent? Install it on their watch from your phone and set it up in a minute.

Settings, all on the watch (hold the face, tap Customize):
• Person 1 and Person 2: a zone from 69 time zones, a label from 16 names (Mom, Dad, Sis, Bro, Son, Dtr, Kids, Love, Nana, Papa, Home, HQ, Team, Boss, Fam, Zone) and an accent colour each
• Person 2 can be off; Person 1 then centres
• Detail line: weekday and offset, weekday only, or offset only
• Complication: the two call chips
• Colors, eight themes

Daylight saving changes on its own, per zone, through 2036. In 12-hour mode AM/PM sits on the date line, so the time stays large.

Family is built in the Watch Face Format: no phone app, no account, no network access, and no data collected. The call buttons are the watch's own contact complications.

Requires Wear OS 6 or later. Tested on the Galaxy Watch 7. One-off purchase, no subscription.
