Every minute, a new scene from deep space on your wrist.
Discovery Corridor Live is an animated watch face in four scenes, each rendered from scratch in 3D and chosen in shuffled order, never the same one twice in a row:
• The corridor - an astronaut in a red suit walks carefully down a white, eight-sided passage, one hand on the ceiling, a case in the other, while the corridor glides by
• The sunrise - darkness, then the sun rises behind a planet standing on the edge of a moon, lighting a thin blue rim of air and then the moon's cratered edge
• The station - a double-wheel space station turns slowly against black space as you drift closer to it
• The monolith - a black slab against a golden sky, a thin crescent moon above it, as the sun rises over its edge
The sunrise and the monolith run on the clock: wherever you look during the minute, the sun is exactly where the seconds say, and it stands clear just as the next scene begins.
Everything you need at a glance:
• The date and a large digital clock at the top, following your 12/24-hour setting
• Today's steps, your battery level and your heart rate at the bottom
• An optional white step goal ring around the edge
Make it yours: press and hold the watch face, tap Customize, and switch each of the four scenes on or off, or turn on the step goal ring.
In always-on mode the scenes go dark and only the clock stays lit, dimmed and gently shifting position to protect your screen.
Made for fans of Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke, and of the 1968 science fiction classic that sent the Discovery One towards Jupiter with Dave Bowman, Frank Poole and HAL 9000 on board. For everyone who remembers the monolith and the Dawn of Man, the spinning station waltzing in orbit, the Star Gate and the Star Child - and who still thinks the future looked best in 1968.
Requires Wear OS 5 or later.
