About this app

The NS app is the official planning application for the Dutch Railways.

The app has the following features:

- Realtime journey planner
- Timetable of departing trains per station
- Summary of Planned work and disruptions
- Station specific information regarding facilities and shops
- Notifications regarding delays of a saved trip

Permissions:
- We use your location to show nearby train stations
- We use permissions for "Photo's/media/files" to save temporary files for Google Maps. This allows maps shown in the app to be faster. The app doesn't use or have access to your pictures or other media.

The terms of use for the NS App apply to the use of the NS App. By using the NS App you agree to this.

Useless, as is the NS online booking process! Book online, then have to load this app and create an account in order to get an e ticket (email confirmation not good enough). But the transfer to the app does not work (no explanation). So the app, even though the account was created with the same email, does not show the e ticket. Had to go to a ticket office to get the ticket printed! On top of this, somehow, my return ticket date is wrong, and NS tefuse to change it. So have to pay again!

update: now with worst interface! not only the new look and feel it's smaller font and more dead space, it also is slower overall. now it takes extra time just finding stations. information is useless: says that because works there is no trains going to/from Amersfoort and yet the planner says just take a train there. Can't provide trains and can't provide accurate planner

would of gave it 5 starts till I tried to attach my card for buying tickets for upcoming journey and doesn't allow you to add the card till you have used it on the train. as a tourist that doesn't make sense to me as I don't know where I am going in person and for what zone to travel to and thought the app would be an all in one place to get me the right ticket to the right place, I would recommend changing this so first time travelers can have a seamless trip and more likely to use the app
