Hinge, the online dating app designed to be deleted

Welcome to Hinge, the online dating app for people who want to go on their last first date. With profiles and prompts that show your personality through text, photos, video, and voice, you have meaningful conversations that lead to great dates. Whether you’re looking to start dating with intention, or you’re unsure about your dating goals, our goal is to help you go out on promising dates so you can delete us quicker.

Our dating app is built on the belief that anyone looking for meaningful connections should be able to find it. By inspiring intimate, in-person connections, we aim to create a less lonely world. With detailed profiles, meaningful likes and a nobel-prize winning algorithm, dating & relationships are at the core of everything we do.

Hinge is about fostering real connections built on compatibility and intention. By encouraging thoughtful interactions and helping daters express who they truly are, Hinge makes it easier to find dates that share the same values, goals, and relationship intentions. Whether you’re looking for love or to meet new people, every feature is designed to move you beyond casual chats and into meaningful connections.

Hinge is helping to make online dating a safe space, with prompts and a Match Note feature that lets you share information with your date before they match with you. Our safety center also allows you to block offensive language from incoming likes, and we’ll automatically hide comments we think could be disrespectful.

HOW WE GET YOU OFF HINGE

When it comes to online dating, people are so busy matching that they’re not always connecting in person, where it counts. Hinge is on a mission to change that so we built a dating app that’s designed to be deleted:

💌 We quickly learn your type. Tell us your relationship type and dating preferences so that we can help introduce the best people to you.

💗 We give you a sense of someone’s personality. You’ll get to know potential dates through their unique answers to prompts, as well as information like religion, height, politics, dating intentions, relationship type, and much more.

💘 Every match begins with someone liking or commenting on a specific part of your profile. Our latest feature, Convo Starters, offers personalized ideas inspired from someone’s Prompt answers and photos to help you spark engaging conversations from the start.

🫶 We want you to feel confident about meeting people in person and going on great dates. Selfie Verification makes it easier for daters on Hinge to ensure that they are who they say they are.

❤️ We ask how your dates are going. After exchanging phone numbers with a Match, we’ll follow up to hear how your date went so we can make better recommendations.
