Fortress Hero is a tower defense strategy game built as a strategy puzzle of planning and resource choices. Build a fortress, arrange a castle, merge structures, and respond to each enemy wave. Study routes, manage space, and adjust defenses as attacks change. Each strategy game run brings a new strategy puzzle, castle layout, and fortress plan.

🏰 BUILD AND MERGE
Start with basic tiles in your fortress. Merge matching structures into defensive towers and support units:

Each merge reshapes the castle map and opens a clear strategy puzzle. Merge towers for damage, hold a tile for later, or spend resources on castle defenses to protect your fortress.

Place defenses near paths, protect the castle gate, and prepare the fortress for the wave.

🧩 PLAN THE GRID
The grid is a spatial strategy puzzle and tactical battlefield. Master positioning to handle every wave:

Study enemy routes before placing a sturdy castle wall or ranged tower for your fortress defenses.

Create choke points, cover paths, and connect defenses to secure the castle.

Poor spacing leaves the castle open, so adjust your fortress defenses and solve the strategy puzzle with timing.

🌊 MANAGE THE WAVE
Every wave brings movement patterns and tactical challenges:

Scouts rush the castle, armored units absorb defenses, and flyers bypass a fortress wall.

Review the wave, adjust formations, and use skills before the castle gate is reached by the enemy wave.

During a boss wave, merge towers, reinforce fortress defenses, and activate your castle core to survive the wave.

🛡️ CHOOSE UPGRADES
After surviving each wave, choose useful skills, practical relics, and companions:

Choices alter your overall strategy, merge path, and core castle priorities.

Build a fortress around slowing effects, area damage, support, or castle repairs.

Compare upgrades to build synergies between towers and defenses for the next strategy puzzle in your fortress.

⚔️ UPGRADE DEFENSES
Collect resources from each wave to scale your defensive power: Merge units, unlock castle upgrades, repair the fortress gate, and improve defenses on the main route.

Skills freeze a wave, redirect pressure, boost fortress defenses, or summon assistance against the wave.

Decide when to merge, strengthen defenses, or save for the next wave in this strategy game to save your castle.

🔄 REPLAY AND IMPROVE
Every run offers strategy puzzle choices and procedural challenges:

Test a new merge order, try another castle layout, and compare fortress defenses against each wave type.

A failed fortress shows where timing, defenses, or resources were misused against the wave.

Return with a clearer strategy and guide your castle farther through the next strategy puzzle.
